Concert Lineup

James Steinle   |    3:00-5:00 PM

AUTHENTIC. TEXAS. MUSIC.  Just three words needed to sum up the singer/songwriter, James Steinle.  He described his unique style as, “a style of Texas Country Music that fuses blends of Norteno, Tex-Mex, Tejano, Country and Western, Bluegrass, and Rock together into a style that is representative of me as an individual.”  Steinle, University of Texas-Austin graduate, was born in San Antonio, Texas, grew up in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, and spent some time in Landstuhl, Germany.  Later, he went on to say, “I have been fortunate enough to see many places in this wonderful world we inhabit.  I have always taken pride in being aware and observant, so many of my songs come from vivid memories I recall from different times in my life.”

When asked “Why do you do what you do?”, James said “There is a heavy burden and inherent responsibility placed on being a Folk singer/songwriter in Texas. Of all the greats, Guy, Terry, Townes, Rodney to name a few; their collective catalogue and feelings they are able to conjure is what keeps me constantly inspired and focused on becoming the best songwriter I can be.” Steinle says that he draws inspiration from the great characters of the world of songwriting- Robert Earl Keen, Steve Earle, Bob Wills, Hank Williams, Guy Clark, Lyle Lovett, Terry Allen, Ryan Bingham – and infuse my stories into the melodies they have helped me to hear.

Kelly Kenning   |   5:00-7:00 PM

Kelly Kenning is a native Texan, born with Country Music in his blood. At 14 years of age, Kelly began singing & playing country music in a little town called Alice.  Kenning has been named as one of the finalists for the Christian Country Songwriter of the Year by the Texas Country Music Association.

The 65 & Sides Society

The Camp House is a live music venue hidden back in the brush of southern Texas and home to the exclusive 65 & Sides Society Concert Series.  Bringing friends and family together to create an unforgettable experience while enjoying the illustrious sounds of country music is the mission.  The Camp House's one-of-kind setting emits an intimate vibe reminiscent of a private house concert underneath a Big Texas Sky.

The 65 & Sides Society is a unique group of 65 couples or 130 total friends drawn together by the Camp House and its yard/private concert setting that delivers 65 side dishes plus over 6.5 hours of live music.  People enjoy music for various reasons and we believe it is important to experience a musician’s work in its purest form – live!

What makes the 65 & Sides Society different than other musical music loving groups or communities is the way they invoke a bond between their members by coming together over sides. Yep, sides!  At any 65 & Sides Society Concert Series, you’ll find a mouth-watering main course of brisket, cooked by award winning Cody Turberville, served with more than 50 side dishes and desserts.  Is there a better way to build a friendship than over music and food?  The Camp House doesn’t think so!

Tickets

Tickets are offered to our 65 & Sides Society members first and then opened up to our wait-list members.  Ticket pricing is as follows: Couples (2-tickets) $65 + Side Dish and Singles (1-ticket) $35 + Side Dish.

There are only 130 Tickets, however, you can sign up to be on the wait-list.  The way the wait-list works is; when a club member chooses not continue his/her pair of tickets, their tickets are then offered to the next member on the wait list.  Your pair of tickets is yours for as long as you want them.  (Much like season tickets)  If you are unable to attend the event, no problem, you can give your tickets out to friends or family members.  You still own your spot for future events!

Want to join the waiting list?  By joining, you will be the first to hear of concerts and exclusive events. Since you are on the waiting list, you will be the first ones we turn to when we have extra tickets.  We tend to provide a limited number of guest passes for concerts and by being on the waiting lists, you just might be gifted those passes!  Join the list here!
