Accessible Information

Sam Houston Race Park provides Accessible Entrances for disabled patrons at the North & South Entrances of The Park. Accessible parking spaces are available in the Main Parking Lot. Accessible Seating will be available for all live racing dates and events. Please call 281-807-8760 with specific questions and to purchase accessible seats.

Admissions

Admission for live racing is $7 for adults, $4 for seniors (62+), and $4 for children (4-12). For Children under 4, admission is free. 

Admission on Premium Price days will be $10 General Admission ($5 for Children and Seniors).
Admission during daily simulcasting is free during non live racing hours.

For the general safety of our patrons:
All carried items, including purses and bags, are subject to search. No large bags or backpacks are permitted in The Park. Guests who do not agree to be searched will be denied entry to The Park.

Age Limit

Sam Houston Race Park is an all-ages venue. The minimum age to place a wager is 21. You must be 21 years of age to purchase and consume alcoholic beverages. Valid State or Federal Government issued photo ID for all patrons under the age of 30 is required for all alcoholic beverage purchases.

ATM Information

Sam Houston Race Park provides patrons with ATM machines located in the Paddock and Club Levels. Guests may withdraw via their checking account up to $500 per transaction from the machine. Withdrawals are available through the use of a debit card only. Credit cards are not accepted by the machines.

Box Office Hours

Sam Houston Race Park has ticket box office booths located at the North & South Entrances, which are open for live racing and concerts. Tickets can also be purchased during operating hours at the Players Lounge Desk. The box office accepts Cash, Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. Advance racing and concert tickets are available at www.shrp.com or by calling 281-807-8760.

Concessions

  • Sam Houston Race Park provides various food and beverages at concession stands located on the Paddock and Club Levels, Including: Papa Johns, Dickey’s BBQ, Rail Dogs, Tio's Longshot Cafe and Chef's Cafe.
  • Valid Federal or State issued photo ID for all patrons under the age of 30 is required for all alcoholic beverage purchases.
  • Payment methods include Cash, Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.
  • Sam Houston Race Park and 97, Inc. are committed to the responsible service of alcoholic beverages. We are required to adhere to the following the policies:
  • The Park will not serve an alcoholic beverage to anyone under the age of 21.
  • The Park will carefully check identification for anyone who appears to be under 40 years of age.
  • The Park will serve a maximum of two alcoholic beverages to a customer per transaction.

Group Information

The Park offers many opportunities for group outings. Our conveniently located multi-functional facility can accommodate 10 to 30,000 people and provides a truly unique venue for your next gathering. Fan Conduct Policy

Anyone exhibiting disruptive or unruly behavior, who is intoxicated, illegally possesses alcohol or other prohibited substances, or who interferes with the ability of others to enjoy the event will be ejected from The Park and subject to arrest.

Camera Usage Policy

Sam Houston Race Park WILL ALLOW photo cameras into all Concerts & Events unless otherwise posted. The camera policy for the venue is as follows:

Photo cameras must have a lens of less than 4" long, Professional cameras are not allowed. 
Sam Houston Race Park will NOT tolerate the following from guests anywhere on property:

  • Tailgating
  • Standing on chairs
  • The distribution of items, flyers, pamphlets, printed materials, as well as the solicitation of signatures is not permitted without written authorization from Management.

Seating Options

Sam Houston Race Park offers reserved seating & general admission for live racing events. Reserved seating opportunities on the Club Level include the Winner’s Circle Restaurant, Finish Line boxes, Club boxes, and counter seats. General Admission to The Park allows guests seating in the theater seats on the Club Level and seating on the track side benches on a first come first serve basis. General admission, counter seats, and Winner’s Circle Restaurant reservations may be made online at www.shrp.com or by calling 281-807-8760. Finish Line box reservations may be made by calling 281-807-8760.

Ticket Information

Tickets to all events at Sam Houston Race Park are available online at www.shrp.com.

You can print an “e-Ticket,” have tickets mailed to you or claim tickets the day of the event at Will Call. All Will Call tickets require that you show picture ID to pick up the tickets. Will Call for live racing is located at the South Entrance of The Park near the Valet Circle. Will Call for events not held in the Grandstand will be located with the box office for that event.
