Camp House Concerts has put together a list of 9 highly attractive Bluegrass and Folk music festivals to attend this year!  The list is comprised of festivals like:  Old Settler's, Kerrvile, Oklahoma's Woody Guthrie Folk Festival, New Mexico's Big Barn Dance and Pickin' in the Pines Bluegrass Festival.

Old Settler's Music Fest

CITY:  Tilmon, Texas
DATE:  April 19th - 22nd, 2018
Previous Headliners:  Shakey Graves, Shiny Ribs, Bob Schneider, & Wade Bowen

DETAILS:  A good ole Folk Festival in Tilmon, TX features the best in Americana & Roots since 1987.  Camping, Arts & Crafts, Kids Activities and more!

Kerrville Folk Festival

CITY:  Kerrville, Texas
DATE:  May 24th - June 10th, 2018
Headliners:  Ray Bonneville, Sam Baker, The Peterson Brothers, Drew Kennedy, Susan Gibson, Ordinary Elephant

DETAILS:  The Kerrville Folk Festival is produced by the Kerrville Folk Festival Foundation.  It is 18 days and nights featuring national and international performing songwriters in intimate musical performances.  The Festival is held at the Quiet Valley Ranch in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, just 9 miles south of Kerrville.   The ranch is a one hour drive from the San Antonio and a two-hour drive from Austin.   The Festival is celebrated by a community who considers itself family, and we are always delighted to welcome new folks!

Texas Folk Life Festival

CITY:  San Antonio, Texas
DATE:  June 8th - 10th, 2018
Headliners:  Max Stalling, Blacktop Gypsy, and Thomas Michael Riley

DETAILS:  This is not like the other Music Festivals as it is more like a cultural festival!  Located on the grounds of the Institute of Texan Cultures on the UTSA Hemisfair Campus, the three-day event showcases the Lone Star State’s diversity and rich heritage through a wide variety of ethnic food, music, dance, arts, and crafts.

Woody Guthrie Folk Festival

CITY:  Okemah, Oklahoma
DATE:  July 11th - 15th, 2018
Headliners:  Sam Baker, Randy Crouch, Jason Mraz, Turnpike Troubadours, Willie Watson

DETAILS:  The spirit of Woody Guthrie is revived during the month of July when over 10,000 attendees from California to New York City to Denmark to Scotland gather in this town in Okfuskee County.

Rocky Mountain Folks Festival

CITY:  Lyons, Colorado
DATE:  August 17th - 19th, 2018

Michael Hearne's "Big Barn Dance" Music Festival

CITY:  Taos, New Mexico
DATE:  September 6th - 8th, 2018

DETAILS:  The three day event is a listening room experience in an outdoor festival setting that concludes with the Big Barn Dance. Bring your listening ears along with your dancin’ shoes.

Pickin' in the Pines Bluegrass & Acoustic Music Festival

CITY:  Flagstaff, Arizona
DATE:  September 14th - 16th, 2018
Headliners:  Bela Fleck, Del McCoury Band, The Infamous Stringdusters, The Travelin' McCourys, Seldom Scene, Jeff Austin Band, Della Mae, Dom Flemons The Grateful Ball

DETAILS:  Pickin’ in the Pines is a world-class bluegrass & acoustic music festival first held in 2006. Featuring the best traditional and contemporary bluegrass music, complemented by other styles of acoustic music which include old-time, Celtic, gypsy jazz and more.

The festival also features educational workshops and a renowned band contest, all in a family-friendly setting under magnificent blue skies and towering pines. Camping and jamming are also a big part of the Pickin’ in the Pines experience.

Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Folk Fest

CITY:  Franklin, Tennessee
DATE:  September 22nd - 23rd, 2018
Headliners:  Jack White, Chris Stapleton, Lionel Richie, Counting Crows, Mat Kearney, John Moreland, The Infamous Stringdusters, Amos Lee

DETAILS:  The Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival takes place in Franklin, Tennessee and celebrates the music, culture, and best food in the area.  Folk music comes alive in Tennessee this September.  Headliners from last year included Justin Timberlake and Gary Clark Jr., you can already see that this is another festival with a diverse lineup.  With this year's lineup, it should be another great festival!

Utopia Fest

CITY:  Burnet, Texas
DATE:  November 2nd - 4th, 2018
Headliners:  Lukas Nelson, Patty Griffin, Grandmaster Flash

DETAILS:  This is a fantastic music festival!  More on the side of a Folk/Americana music festival in the big city of Burnet, TX.  This concert has been on our bucket list for awhile now.  This year it is the 10th anniversary of this event.
