Stop being the person who has to hear about 'how awesome that music festival was' from your friends and check out this nice List of Music Festivals for 2017 we made. The list includes music festivals in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and more. There are also a few wild-cards in the list for example, Key West Songwriter's Festival or Summerfest in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We went through the inter-web and picked our favorite Music Festivals that we have either gone to or it is on our bucket list.  A fun tool for anybody to use is Music Fest Wizard - lets you search for festivals by location, type, genre and more.

Keep in mind there are tons of music festivals of all genres everywhere and we barely scratch the surface with our list. A few of the festivals on the list have came and gone but you can click their associated link to check for a 2018 update.

National Cowboy Poetry Gathering - Elko, Nevada

Larry Joe Taylor Texas Music Fest - Stephenville, Texas

Stagecoach Country Music Festival - Indio, California

Key West Songwriter's Fest - Key West, Florida

200 Performers, 50 Shows, 5 Days & Nights!  The Key West Songwriters Festival - the largest festival of its kind in the world. By the looks of this festival, we decided to put it on our bucket-list. We also added 'Drink a draft Milwaukee's Best' to our list. They should have that on tap don't you think? This year's lineup makes this one of the most diverse festival in our list.  The 50th Summerfest!  Performances by Red Hot Chili Peppers, Luke Bryan, Willie Nelson, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Brothers Osborne, Dierks Bentley, P!NK, Chris Stapleton, Zac Brown Band and more. UtopiaFest - Utopia, Texas  
September 22nd - September 24th
Take a trip to south Texas for the 9th Annual UtopiaFest. In the big city of Utopia, TX were the population is less than 300 - from U.S. Census, the sounds of the Blues with a Folk sounding mix will be filling the air this September. Another bucket-list worthy festival is the Pondersoa Stomp Blues Festival in my favorite city in the world, New Orleans. Can you think of a better place for a Blues festival?
